Covid-ICU

On Friday, 10/1/2011, Human Call Association celebrated the opening of the ICU department for Covid-19 patients at Al-Nidaa’ Hospital in Ain Al-Hilweh camp in Sidon, southern Lebanon.

And that in the presence of His Excellency Minister Hassan Mneimneh (Chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee), His Excellency the Minister of Health Dr. Firas Abyad, Her Excellency Bahia Hariri represented by Dr. Nasser Hammoud, His Excellency Dr. Osama Saad, His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Palestine represented by Counselor Ramzi Mansour, Mr. Thomas Mellor director of GIZ in Lebanon, Dr. Abdel Rahman El-Bizri chairman of the National Scientific Committee for Corona File Management, Mr. Wassim El-Shamy director of the Crisis Prevention and Recovery Program at UNDP, representatives of United Nations organizations working in Lebanon (UNRWA - UNICEF), representatives of international associations (International Red Cross - Doctors Without Borders - Taawon Foundation - The Palestinian Red Crescent), doctors, engineers, managers and workers in local institutions and associations.

The ceremony included speeches for the participants, in which they emphasized the importance of having an intensive care unit for Corona patients, especially in Ain El-Hilweh camp, praising the tremendous efforts made to make this project comes true.

At the end of the ceremony, the attendees went to the hospital to open the intensive care unit for Corona patients and to tour the hospital departments.
